Nora M. Reed Scholarship

A scholarship in honor of Nora M. Reed has been established as the initial scholarship at the Fayette County Community Foundation.

Per her wishes, this scholarship will be given to a student from Fayette County studying visual art or music through an art school or college program.

Nora played flute at Fayetteville High school and was a talented artist. She loved crafting and painting as well.

Applicants can use the scholarship funds in pursuing an education in musical or visual arts. This scholarship does not award applicants pursuing literary or performing arts. One applicant will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship. 

The application is in a google form with a requirement to upload an art or music sample file. Any questions can be directed to hello@FayCoCF.org.

Fayetteville High School Alumni Scholarship

The Fayetteville High School Alumni Association has reopened their annual scholarship under the Fayette County Community Foundation. Students who live in Fayetteville and would have attended Fayetteville High School are eligible to apply.

There are two scholarships available this spring – one for an Oak Hill High School graduate who also fulfills the other requirements and one for a Midland Trail High School graduate who also fulfills the other requirements.

Additional eligibility requirements include:
– Attending a college, university, or trade school post graduation in any area of study
– Having a 4.0 GPA at time of application
